El Fuerte is a beautiful Spanish style home with a private courtyard located 1 mile from the town of San Pedro, Belize. The island trip from the mainland is a short 20 minute flight (www.mayaislandair.com) from Belize International Airport. The flight over will surely take your breath away as you look down on the emerald green Caribbean Sea.

Once you arrive on the island of Ambergris Caye you have a 5 minute taxi ride to our home.

The island has a population of 4500 & offers English as their primary language, which makes it very tourist friendly. The main mode of transportation is golf carts (www.monchosrentals.com) and bicycles. You can also take the beach all the way into to town for evening dinner.

Our home is fully equipped with all the amenities of your home, portable CD player, TV, VCR & cable & telephone. We have two bedrooms with a queen size bed in each. The second bedroom has a twin trundle. Both bedrooms are air-conditioned & there are ceiling fans throughout. In the den we have a queen fold out sofa-which may sleep 2. The house can comfortably sleep 7. The den also has a TV, VCR & cable. The kitchen is fully equipped with microwave, stove, refrigerator, full set of cooking pots, blender, dishes & a must, a coffee pot. The dining area offers a nice table with chairs to enjoy those meals that you may want to cook. The outdoor veranda is a great place to enjoy your morning coffee with a spectacular view of the garden. The house is located in a small community called San Telmo a mere 40 yds off the beach. There are many locals which live nearby & also some Americans which now call San Pedro their new home.

Summer rates: June 1st-Sept. 30th $975 per week
Winter rates: Oct. 1st-May 31st $1200 per week (excluding peak season)
Holiday season (peak) Dec 16th-Jan 6th $1,800 + per week

TERMS:	Rental deposit-$150.00 (deposit is refundable after departure date of 7 days & an inspection of the property)

Fishing, snorkeling, diving (www.ambergrisdivers.com), bike riding, parasailing, windsurfing (my children's favorite), shopping (my favorite), kayaking, Mayan ruins trips, bird watching, manatee watching, relaxing in our favorite hammock & long walks on the beach.

There are great things to offer for all ages from small children to grandparents. I am sure you will find San Pedro a place you will want to visit many times again, as our family has.

The island welcomes tourists & they are glad you have chosen their island to spend your vacation. The island is safe, quite & adventurous all in one. The food is awesome & a must is the key lime pie.
